Teachers can create a student interest survey through the use of Google Forms. This can provide teachers with a baseline for their students. Using Google Drive, teachers can create a Google Form and with this form make a survey to get know the interests, weaknesses, and strengths of their students. With this tool teachers can ask their students different kinds of questions. This can be done through multiple choice, checklists, or even short answer responses. These surveys can be used for any subject to gauge students' weaknesses and strengths and to get a better perspective on who they are as people. This ties into this component because these surveys can help teachers become more informed on the interests of their students. In elementary grades, a survey about reading can help me to see how my students feel about it and what kind of books they might like if I were to group them up for small group book discussions. In the future, I would make a survey that would work for Elementary level students instead of for high school students. I had to design this for my virtual co-op, so this specific survey was tailored to her needs in her classroom. I thought the whole process went smoothly overall. Google Forms is a really user-friendly tool. This tool gives teachers a looking glass into who their students are as learners and teachers can learn a lot about their students' lives outside of school. In Educational Psychology, I learned that seeing the whole picture of your student's life can help teachers determine what might be wrong if a student is misbehaving or having an identity crisis like in Erikson's eight crisis.
