This component of Domain 4 is about being a part of a professional community. Teachers never stop learning, which means they have to reach out and form new relationships with other fellow educators. This is important because networking is an extremely useful tool. Not only can teachers gain new knowledge and ideas from other educators, but they can also share their own knowledge with others. Through this process, teachers learn and grow and thus are able to educate their students more effectively.
