This component of Domain 4 is about how it is important for teachers to maintain accurate records. This means keeping track of students' assignment, grades, progress with materials, and keeping track non-instructional tasks. This is important because without maintaining accurate records of students, teachers will not be able to properly assess their students' learning and instructional needs. Teachers can maintain these records formally through a school database or through learning management systems like Edmodo or Schoology. Another way teachers can do this is through notes in a students' folders.
