This component of Domain 4 is about the importance of being a reflective educator. Teachers must reflect upon how they teach a lesson, how the students respond to the lesson, and do this in a timely and accurate fashion that will inform how they teach in the future. This is important because reflection helps teachers to see where they can improve and where they need to work on to become better educators. Teachers should ask themselves questions like what went well, what can I do better next time I teach this topic, and how did the students respond?
