This component of Domain 3 is all about how engaging students in the lesson is extremely important. Teachers need to get their students involved in the topic/lesson by providing interactive and engaging learning activities for students to participate in. This is important because if students are not engaged or being stimulated by the lesson, then they are not retaining the information. Teachers need to provide appropriate scaffolding for their students to learn, as well as structure the lesson to fit the needs of the students they are teaching.
Elements 1. Activities and assignments 2. Grouping of students 3. Instructional materials and resources 4. Structure and pacing
