This component of Domain 1 is about how instructional objectives inform students about what they are going to learn during a lesson. These objectives will help students to see what they will be able to do after the lesson. It is important for teachers to create and evaluate instructional outcomes for their students. These outcomes have to relate to the standards, curriculum, and common core. This is important because it gives every activity a focus and helps students to understand and see the result of the lesson. It also reflects important learning topics during a given lesson and relates learning outcomes across the curriculum.
