This component of Domain 3 is about how teachers need to be flexible during a teaching experience. Teachers need to always be on their toes and ready to adapt to new situations as they arise. This means also being able to adapt during a lesson. Sometimes teachers have to adjust their lesson on the spot if it is not going well in order to persevere. This is important because teachers need to be prepared for anything because students do not always respond the way a teacher expects. This being said teachers need to be able to pick up on student cues and adapt accordingly in order to effectively reach students. Teachers must also be persistent in their teaching as well as make adjustments so that students can get the most out of their schooling.
